Polypropylene Rope
Also known as "poly." Strong, lightweight rope can float, is rotproof, and is unaffected by water, oil, gasoline, and most chemicals, making it an excellent choice for marine applications. BRAIDED—Multiple strands are braided together; provide better strength than twisted rope construction. TWISTED—Also known as 3-strand or laid rope. This spliceable rope is the most common construction for general purpose use. HOLLOW BRAID—Normally constructed of 8, 12, or 16 strands or bundles of yarns. Can be easily spliced in seconds.
